Michael Kenner

Oli sent me a link to one of his favourite photographers, Michael Kenna who is exhibiting in Sydney at the moment and told me I should go as he rarely exhibits in Australia and the UK so it was a bit of a one-off chance. I took some time before work to go and have a look.
The exhibition was in the Point Light Gallery in Surry Hills which really close to The Brag's head office so was really easy to find. It's a small little loft space upstairs which is so peaceful and light, and I was the only one in there. I chatted to the man who owns the gallery for ages and then he left me to walk around the exhibition at my own pace.

Michael mainly works in B&W medium format with silver nitrate and his photographs are stunning. He mainly focusses on landscapes and photography usually with long-exposure - sometimes even up to 10 hours. My photos don't really do his work justice, but here are a few of my favourites:

So beautiful. I really miss doing photography actually, I think I'm going to save up to buy myself a decent camera to use out here.
